The Survivor Leadership Advisory Council is a survivor-led advisory group that guides and informs the direction of the Survivor Leadership Project.

The Survivor Leadership Advisory Council is a group of survivors who are actively engaged in leadership and committed to advancing survivor-led change in Nebraska. Members represent a wide range of perspectives, identities, and experiences. The Nebraska Coalition seeks to ensure the Survivor Leadership Advisory Council reflects the diversity of survivors across the state and includes those most marginalized.

The Survivor Leadership Advisory Council members:

  • Participate in working groups and decision-making
  • Co-create initiatives like peer mentorship and storytelling workshops
  • May represent survivor leadership at public events, community organizations, or advocacy spaces

Some members also serve as strategic advisors and:

  • Offer long-term vision and mentorship
  • Bring policy, advocacy, and lived expertise to SLP and the Nebraska Coalition
  • Participate based on personal capacity and availability
