Friendship Home is hosting its second annual fundraising event, Illuminate: Hope Shines Here. Held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Illuminate shines a light on the hope found at Friendship Home while raising critical support for the increasing number of survivors turning to us for safety and services.
This event reflects on the growing need in Lincoln to support survivors of domestic violence, and it is an opportunity for the community to come together and make a direct impact. Guests of Illuminate will have the opportunity to eat, drink, and mingle with others, and the event will feature a live auction where guests can bid on donated experiences.
“Illuminate is more than a fundraiser; it’s a statement that survivors are not alone,” says Whitney Wegner, Friendship Home Development Coordinator. “When our community comes together, we send a powerful message that safety begins at Friendship Home.”
Friendship Home invites you to join them for a night of reflection and advocacy at Illuminate on Thursday, October 22, at the Rococo Theatre. Your support helps to meet the growing needs of survivors in Lincoln, and by attending, you will provide a brighter future for those experiencing domestic violence.
This event is not hosted by the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence.
This event is presented by Friendship Home, a network service provider of the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence, proudly serving Lancaster County.
