You don’t have to be an expert to make a difference when someone you know might be experiencing domestic violence, whether it’s a family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor, or someone else in your community.
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, join us on Tuesday, October 13 for a virtual lunch and learn session that offers a clear, approachable introduction to domestic violence: what it can look like, the signs to watch for, and what you can actually say and do when supporting someone you care about. We’ll also walk through Nebraska’s statewide network of domestic violence survivor advocacy organizations, so you know exactly where to point someone for specialized support, resources, and services.
This session is designed for the community members who show up in the everyday moments. No prior training or professional background needed. Bring your lunch and your questions.
