Votes and Voices: The Power of Voting, Advocacy, and Allyship will focus on the importance of civic participation and how to be a powerful ally in this fight. This seminar will look towards the voting process and how to transition our advocacy into civic action. Finally, this training will highlight allyship and how to engage new groups in an inclusive and purposeful way.
By the end, participants will have a fuller understanding of how to grow their personal and organizational goals into effective social action.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
• Describe the importance of voting and how to engage in the voting process
• Be able to begin working on a civic outreach plan for their organization
• Discuss how civic participation changes outcomes for social issues
• Describe the relationship between advocacy and voting
• Understand the importance of allyship and how to be an effective ally
• Create a plan to welcome new allies into their organization
