Network Programs ONLY: Sustainability Strategies for Times of Change and Uncertainty
Network Programs ONLY (Local DV/SV and Tribal Programs)
Advocacy program staff may be experiencing increased work stress as they strive to provide critical services at critical times. It is unrealistic to believe that that we are not impacted by the demands of our work during a time of daily change, new routines, and fear.
We may feel frozen in our abilities to meet the demands of everyday living and unsure if we can meet the needs of our clients. We may be experiencing rigid thinking, apathy, difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbance, exhaustion, sadness, anger, fear, guilt, and helplessness. These are typical feelings during an atypical time.
Everyone is susceptible to compassion fatigue and/or burnout at this time, but people working with survivors of trauma are especially vulnerable. During this offering we will review some signs of compassion fatigue and strategies to increase sustainability during uncertain times.
This offering is open to all staff in the network of programs.
