Those who empower and support Survivors have the ability to use language which helps shape how our society views violence against Survivors. During this training Jill Heggen, Communications Director with Women's Fund of Omaha, will lead us through strategies on how to partner with our allies in journalism to shift the conversation around domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.

During this course we will discuss: How to use the right words in your communications, how to utilize the resource to guide interactions with media and how to engage with media reports that might be misleading, incorrect or harmful to survivors.

This Media Resource was developed with Survivors’ voices and provides key language which is critical to how we work with those in media and journalism.
