Fundamentals of Advocacy is offered for FREE to staff and volunteers from member local domestic and sexual violence programs in Nebraska and staff from tribal domestic violence/sexual assault programs. Only those who are part of our Network of Programs may register for this training.

Registration is required to attend this training.

This training has limited space so please register early to be able to confirm a place in the training.

Fundamentals of Advocacy is a two part training hosted by the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence which provides an overview of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking and related issues. The Part I and Part II training sessions are both 3 days in length for a total of 6 days. There will be pre-work which must be completed prior to your attendance to the Fundamentals Part I training sessions. The pre-work assignments and instructions will be sent on October 29th to each registrant via the email provided at time of registration. Please plan to complete up to 5 hours of pre-work prior to attending the in-person Fundamental Part I training sessions.

Please plan accordingly as THIS REGISTRATION WILL BE FOR PART I ONLY and will close on October 29th. If you wish to register for Fundamentals of Advocacy Part II upon on the announcement of the registration opening you will need to go to the event training calendar and click on the event set for January 15th - 17th, 2019

Fundamentals of Advocacy Part I will be hosted in Grand Island, NE. Please see below for specific details regarding the training:

Part I:
November. 13th, 14th and 15th (Nov. 13th the training will be from 9 AM - 5 PM, 14th and 15th the training will be from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM).

Room: Community room found in the lower level

If you require a hotel room a block of rooms is reserved under the Nebraska Coalition Group for those who are attending the training at the Ramada Midtown Conference Center. You may contact them at 1-308-384-1330 to make your reservation. The cut off for reservations within this block of rooms is October 15th.

Please note; For all registrants all other costs associated with the training are the responsibility of the participant (i.e. mileage, hotel, meals, parking, etc.)
