Presenter Wendy Lau, J.D. Senior Project Manager of the Interpretation and Technical Assistance Resource Center with the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender Based Violence (API Institute) will lead us through this webinar opportunity.
The API Institute is a national resource center on domestic violence, sexual violence, trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence in Asian and Pacific Islander communities. It serves a national network of advocates, community-based organizations, national and state programs, legal, health, and mental health professionals, researchers, policy advocates and activists from social justice organizations.
Course Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
• Understand federal language access requirements;
• Implement measures to comply with federal language access requirements; and,
• Identify tools and resources that will increase access for the limited English proficient population.
