Sexual Violence Prevention Collective
Coordinated by the Nebraska Coalition, the Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) Collective connects individuals and organizations across the state dedicated to working towards a Nebraska that is safe, fair, equal, and free from power-based violence.
Who Are We
The SVP Collective is a collaborative network of individuals with knowledge in the areas of sexual and domestic violence, sexual health care, mental health, refugee and immigration services, higher education, and advocacy.
Our Values
Stopping violence before it happens.
Listening to survivors and their different experiences.
Including diverse voices and using fair, equal approaches.
Trusting the wisdom and support of our communities.
Our Goals
Create a diverse, fair, and welcoming online space for people from all over the state to come together.
Build a strong community and help people connect who are working to prevent sexual violence in Nebraska.
Share new ideas, solutions, and challenges in sexual violence prevention.
Find ways for members to work together and support each other outside of SVP Collective meetings.
Our Work
In 2022, SVP Collective members contributed to the development of the Sexual Violence Prevention Educator's Guide, a project led by the Women’s Fund of Omaha.
The SVP Collective is currently developing a guidebook for engaging parents, caregivers, schools, and other youth-serving organizations in violence prevention efforts.
